Position Overview

Christensen Farms, a leading family-owned pork producer in the United States, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to our feed mill operations. With a commitment to quality and efficiency, we manage a significant number of hogs and maintain a robust presence across the pork supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating office coordination and administrative tasks for the feed mill team, including the Mill Managers and Feed Order Department.
  • Ensuring a professional and efficient reception for visitors and phone inquiries.
  • Accurately entering production data related to receipts, shipments, and transfers.
  • Providing backup support for other administrative roles as necessary.
  • Compiling and distributing weekly reports on milling activities.
  • Assisting with inventory reconciliation processes.
  • Delivering timely correspondence as required by Mill Management.
  • Managing incoming communications, including phone calls, messages, and mail.
  • Coordinating various office activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Overseeing feed quality accountability and compliance.
  • Conducting management and audits of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Administering Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
  • Providing support for toll mill invoice processing.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook, along with strong 10-Key skills.
