Job Responsibilities:
The Production Engineer will serve as an integral member of the Production team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
Assess basic products from outside vendors. Support the use of new techniques and processes
Develop a basic understanding of well design. Recognize the parameters that affect production. Visualize how they impact system hydraulics and well performance. Gain awareness of data needed in PE analysis such as production statistics, completion data, well histories, pressure trends, and operating costs.
Develop a basic understanding of tools, P&A regulation and methods. Understand rig selection criteria. Review well files and extract relevant information from them. Understand how to identify, analyze, and fix underperforming wells.
Develop a basic understanding of separators, components, ratings, system configurations, automation setup with controls and safety systems. Understand artificial lift systems in use in geographic area of responsibility.
Understand standards, best practices, spacing requirements, OSHA requirements, and general EHS guidelines for safe operations. Attend safety meetings and awareness events.
Complete tasks on time under supervision. Learn new skills quickly and willingly.
Understand the decision-making factors in your department. Solve simple problems on your own.
Report and present your analysis verbally and in writing. Build relationships with your team and field staff. Share information appropriately up and down the hierarchy.
Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering Sciences; PNGE is an advantage
0-3 yrs of experience
1-2 years of oil and gas experience in Production are preferred but not mandatory
Proficient use of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) is required
Experience working in WellView, SiteView, ProdView, Qlikview, Fekete, PowerBI, SQL, Spotfire, ARIES or Oracle is a benefit
Ability to program in Visual Basic, Python, C++, Matlab, R or other Windows type applications is a benefit
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines under supervision of senior engineers
Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of employees throughout the organization to help solve technical problems is a must
The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America.
