UPG Electrical is looking for a Sales Manager to support our division. The Sales Manager will focus on business development and customer retention within their respective sales category. This position will report to the Director of Business Development.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Pursuit of new business (spot business as well as contractual)
Responsible for increasing revenue in targeted accounts.
Effectively build consensus, gain appropriate commitments, and close business
Must maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in industry related associations and events
Prospecting for new business and maximizing growth opportunities
Conduct competitive market intelligence; analyze and adjust positioning to grow market leadership
Forecast sales trends, sales dollars and communicate competitive situations
Maintain and enhance our sales position with existing customers
Set up and maintain routine customer contact
Strategic business plan development and execution
Interact with Client Services Associate (Inside Sales) to ensure that customer requirements are met
Interface for customer quality issues
Travel when needed
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required
3 years outside selling experience. Preferred experience in electric motor, transformer or power generation markets is preferred
Experience in the electric motor, transformer, or power generation markets. (Preferred)
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
