Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the Contracts Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Legal Department. Main areas of responsibility include performing contract review, with an initial focus on Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and vendor contracts, managing Aras' contract management system, as well as assisting with compliance and privacy matters. The ideal candidate will have had previous in-house legal experience.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated contracts specialist with deep expertise in contract review and building processes and supporting a fast-paced legal team. We are looking for someone who has experience working in a corporate setting preferably with a high-growth B2B company within the software as a service (SaaS) space.
You will work closely with our in-house legal team as well as liaise with our outside counsel as needed on related matters.
In this role, it is expected that you will:
Provide contract support for standard corporate agreements, such as non-disclosure, marketing, and other vendor contracts
Manage the contracts lifecycle process for all agreements reviewed by the Legal team; maintain contract management system-including document processing, electronic signatures, electronic filing, scanning, and light data processing-ensuring all contracts are properly tracked, executed, and filed appropriately Assist with review of legal invoicing and budget tracking with a focus on cost efficiency measures
Assist in the development of policies and procedures as part of Aras' Corporate Compliance Program Work with other members of the legal team on special projects and initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelors and or an associates in paralegal studies at a minimum
6+ years of experience in a contracts specialist role, with at least 2 years within an in-house legal department
Entrepreneurial with a driven personality, not only highly analytical and strategic, but also creative and hands-on in nature
Team player, someone who is approachable and enjoys solving problems with teammates
Experience with contracts, writing and reviewing them
Clear, effective communication skills and experience in a collaborative, transparent, and hands-on environment
Ability to lead and communicate cross-functionally with development, sales, partner, and other departments
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
