**Job Title: EH&S Manager****Job Description**This position leads the integration of solutions that address multiple regulatory requirements and certifying agencies, ensuring compliance with rules affecting safety, security, hazardous waste, medical equipment, fire/life safety, and utilities. Key responsibilities include managing a team to ensure daily regulatory compliance, performing regular performance assessments, managing regulatory compliance audits, maintaining effective recordkeeping, coordinating leadership reporting, and serving as the Laser Safety Officer and SHC Hospital Safety Officer.You will conduct TJC EOC/Life Safety regulatory compliance programs for SHC, LPCH, and Clinics as required. You will lead during survey activity audits and be the hospital interface for The Joint Commission (TJC) Environment of Care (EOC) for interviews, record reviews, corrective actions, and performance improvement opportunities. You will coordinate preparation for all TJC EOC regulatory compliance activities across all sites.As the EOC Safety Committee Chair, you will generate quarterly reports, annual evaluations, and management plans. You will conduct TJC EOC Periodic Performance Reviews and coordinate EOC meeting agendas, minutes, and logistics monthly. You will maintain EOC documentation and records and coordinate EOC Safety Manual Policies and Procedures.In your role as the hospital Safety Officer, you will develop hospital-wide safety plans, analyze risks, address incidents, and develop mitigation strategies, including those for life safety. You will manage the Hazardous & Medical Waste and Waste Water & Storm Drain programs, including applicable policy, program, and regulatory/compliance audits. Additionally, you will manage the Life/Fire Safety Program, including the emergency evacuation program, equipment, regulatory/compliance audits, and training. As the Deputy Laser Safety Officer, you will develop laser safety policies, analyze risks, and develop mitigation plans.This position may require on-call availability during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs and respond to emergencies as necessary. Additional compensation may be provided if assigned as part of the Facilities Services & Planning (FS&P) Leader on Call Program.**Hard Skills**+ Environment of Care+ Hazardous Waste+ Industrial Hygiene**Job Type**This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).**Work Site**This is a fully on-site position in Menlo Park, California.**Work Environment**Healthcare environment, but office-based. The office is located approximately five miles from the hospital. Responsibilities include traveling to both hospitals and assisting with offsite clinics. The office houses Project Management, Resource Management, Facilities Systems, and Facilities. One executive director and five directors from different business units are onsite. The team size ranges from 25-35 employees. Trips to the hospital are required as needed to perform environmental duties. The dress code is business formal.
