Position DetailsTilson is currently seeking experienced candidates to lead our hard surface restoration crew as a Foreman. Our hard surface restoration crew will support and work hand in hand with our underground construction fiber-to-the-home crew to restore/remove/replace damaged sidewalk panels, concrete driveways, asphalt roadways and other similar hard surface work in residential and commercial neighborhoods where the company does work. Tilson is seeking applicants who have skills in managing concrete laborers in flat work, asphalt repair and concrete restoration of sidewalks, curbs, and other similar structures. Preferred candidates will have experience in setting and stripping forms, mixing, pouring, and raking concrete, tying and cutting rebar, hand finishing, cutting expansion joints, general laboring and materials handling. Foreman applicants will be required to have significant experience working with concrete and asphalt and must be able to manage a crew of laborers providing direction and oversite of the crew including safety, production, and restoration activities daily.ResponsibilitiesSupervise hard surface restoration crewsWork alongside hard surface restoration crewsDaily presentation of Job Safety AnalysisDaily record-keeping of completed workDemolition, repair, restoration, and replacement of hard surfaces such as sidewalk panels, roadways, etc.Knowledge of multiple methods of concrete and asphalt repair and restoration work.Mixing of concrete and concrete additives.Concrete and asphalt finishing workWork with hot and cold mix asphaltWork with slurryManage materialsJob planningMaintain safety policies and proceduresOther duties may be assigned consistent with job descriptionQualificationsMastery level skillset 5+ years experience preferred, all crew foreman are also working crew membersPrevious Foreman experience preferredHigh School Diploma or equivalentValid US Driver's licenseOSHA 10/30Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is physically active, with lifting required. Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.Must be at least 21 years of age to meet Tilson's driving eligibility requirements.Tilson offers a comprehensive benefits package with a focus on choice, health, wellness, and financial security.
