This leadership position focuses on mission-centric fundraising for The Arc Baltimore by maintaining and growing member/donor relations and the annual appeals process for individuals, foundations, and corporate donors. Through their work, this staff person should demonstrate a commitment to our mission of supporting people with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives with a sense of belonging, purpose, and meaningful relationships. We seek someone with extensive experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies, donor cultivation and stewardship, planned giving, grant seeking and management, and grassroots fundraising. Job Duties (Fundraising): 1.

Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward potential and current donors and maintain ongoing relationships. 2.

Develop strategies to meet fundraising goals for individual, corporate, foundation, and event revenue in coordination with the chief advancement officer. 3.

Identify key players within the United Way, Maryland Charities Campaign to develop more opportunities for outreach during campaigns. 4.

Monitor and analyze fundraising data using the CRM database to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed. 5.

Develop outreach and engagement strategies for families The Arc Baltimore serves, with a schedule of appeals to donate/join as members. 6.

Develop prospect lists using a wealth screening tool. 7.

Review and advance the organization’s system of recognizing and valuing all donors of time, talent, and money to the organization. 8.

Build relationships with corporations and foundations and assist the development team with grant research, seeking, and reporting. 9.

Support the development team in planning and executing special events that engage donors and meet event fundraising targets. 10.

Collaborate with the development team to develop and execute effective donor communications and marketing materials. 11.

Support the chief advancement officer to promote effective volunteer engagement. 12.

Assist in board outreach and major donor and legacy-building initiatives. Job Duties (Organizational Leadership):

Assist as needed in the department’s external events, including workplace campaigns and outreach events. 2.

Complete all agency-required training for the position. 3.

Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. EDUCATION /SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:

·

Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record of success in individual giving, corporate and foundation giving, and special events. ·

At least three years of experience working with a CRM database, preferably DonorPerfect. ·

Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of The Arc Baltimore. ·

Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, video conferencing, slide presentations, online calendars, and email, preferably Microsoft Office Suite. ·

Excellent customer service skills. ·

Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. ·

Ability to work independently and with a team. WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work in a professional office setting. Must be able to work a flexible schedule dictated by the evolving needs of the agency. Must maintain continuous electronic communication with the agency. A valid Maryland driver’s license is required.
