Description The Housekeeper will work for a private household in Pacific Heights (and occasionally in Woodside, CA), San Francisco to undertake cleaning, manage the household’s condition, and provide a professional level of service to the family. This position reports to the Principals.

Job Duties ● Undertake cleaning duties in all rooms of the home including bedrooms, bathrooms, living quarters, kitchen and bar areas, dining, garage, entry and foyer, playroom, gym, offices, entertainment areas, decks, hallways, other areas such as closets and pantries. ● Cleaning duties: ○ All floor surfaces shall be cleaned and prepared appropriately to cleaning standards, and free from dirt, dust, cobwebs. All household furniture shall be kept clean and free from dust or dirt, including children’s playroom, on at least a weekly basis. ○ Clean and vacuum furniture as needed ○ Drapery shall be vacuumed and cleaned on a regular basis, free from dust and dirt or cobwebs. All baseboards, windows, stair railings, window sills, countertop surfaces, sinks, toilets, cabinetry, appliances shall be cleaned and free from dust. ○ Marble and stone shall be polished according to standards, with regular application of sealants and protectants for marble surfaces. ○ Small and large appliances shall be cleaned and maintained accordingly. Empty the fridge of spoiled items and dispose using the compost. ○ Trash to be taken out daily ○ Breakdown boxes and recycling ○ Gentle cleaning condition for stainless and delicate surfaces. ○ Ensure all dishes, including children’s, and kitchen appliances are clean and stored properly. ○ Dog bowls clean and fresh water supplied ○ Sweep and clean the patios and entrance to the home ● Laundry ○ Undertake all household laundry including atelier clothing, infant linens, children’s clothing, dry cleaning, linens, dog bedding, bathroom rugs to be appropriately cleaned. ■ Instructions: hand wash or delicate wash most clothes, stain removal on children’s clothing, use organic soaps only (provided by principal – seventh generation products) ■ Most clothing should be line-dry OR use low or no heat option on dryer ○ Steam or iron all wrinkled items and replace to closets as needed ○ Complete unpacking and packing for vacations as requested by Principal ○ Clean and iron linens in all bedrooms and make beds in five primary suites, including two children’s suites. All sheets neatly pressed. 1x weekly ○ Clean all kitchen linens such as napkins and neatly press. 1x weekly ○ Prepare bathrooms, kitchen, gym with proper towel linens, 1-2x weekly. ○ Dry cleaning shall be dropped and retrieved with preferred cleaner. 2x monthly ○ Clothing and linens shall be ironed or steamed accordingly. Line dry delicate items as needed. Line dry children and baby clothes as needed. Take care to use appropriate care on each item, as provided. 2x weekly. ● Specialty cleaning ○ Assist with cleaning of highchairs and children’s eating surfaces. ○ Assist with cleaning in the art room and ensure countertop surfaces are cleaned. ○ Toy organization in collaboration with nanny ○ Assist with cleaning and vacuuming of strollers and carseats, 1x per week ○ Cars: two automobiles with clean interiors and vacuumed on a weekly basis (INTERIOR SOFT surface only, no exterior cleaning) ● Deep cleaning ○ Carpets to professionally cleaned every six months, please organize with Principal ○ Perform specialty deep cleaning services as needed, including vacuuming all drawers, inside and atop cabinets, deep clean in the refrigerator, behind appliances. ○ Perform speciality polishing and furniture protection (staining, oil treatment, floor treatment) on an as-needed basis as determined by the principals. ● Yard ○ Outdoor cleaning inclusive of entry way and steps, paver stones, children’s play house, outdoor sauna and bench seat, barbeque, and cushions to chairs shall be cleaned on at least a bi-weekly basis. ● Indoor plants ○ Responsible for plant care, watering and trimming as needed ○ Water and care for all household plants ○ Refresh soil as needed ● Food coordination ○ Housekeeper will be responsible for getting the drop-off prepared meals and placing them in the fridge on Mondays and Thursdays. Coordinate pick-up of dirty containers with the courier. Dispose of all food before drop off and pick up each week. ● Childcare backup ○ Assist with coverage for baby during preschool pick up and drop off (if one child is sleeping, Housekeeper will monitor sleeping child while nanny takes the other child to and from school) ● Other ○ Stock pantries, replace cleaning supplies as needed ○ Assist to the principals, as needed, such as errands, light food preparation or sous chef assistance, extra assistance during parties, etc.
