The innovative solutions we tackle offer diverse experiences to help fortify your skills and put your abilities to the testReports to: Automation Engineering ManagerDuties:•Designing and implementing control system solutions for various types of automated equipment, working alongside experienced team engineers.•Assist in developing software code from scratch for programmable controllers, robotics, motion control, vision systems, SCADA applications and various high-level languages.•Help with creating accurate project documentation such as, but not limited to: Control Narratives, IO lists, Flowcharts, Device lists, etc.•Support equipment testing, debug, dry-cycle, runoff, FAT, etc. for automation equipment.•Support installing, commissioning, and training of machine(s) at customer's site.•Assist in system acceptance/sign-off at customer facility.•Reviewing budgets and schedules•Determining and choosing appropriate hardware and devices for automated systemsPrimary Responsibilities:•Support major custom automation design projects from concept to completion.•Use experience and industry best practices to design systems in a lead role or as part of a larger team.•Troubleshooting equipment at installation, startup, and commissioningAdditional Responsibilities:•Assist in building up our software libraries and standards.•Assist with creating technical reports for customers.•Participating in safety risk assessmentsPlease note that these lists of responsibilities are not exhaustive but serve as a guide for typical job tasks and activities.Minimum Educational Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering or related field OR Associate's degree (2-year) with 2+ years of experience in Controls for industrial manufacturing related machines, equipment, robot cells, etc.•High-school diplomaMinimum Previous Experience:•2+ years of experience in machine building, system integration or industrial automation•AutoCAD or Solidworks Electrical experience•PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley RS Logix 5, 500, Studio 5000. Siemens WinCC Flex, TIA Portal).•SCADA programing experience (FactoryTalk, Ignition, Wonderware, GE Proficy).•Industrial networking experience: Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, TCP/IP, Modbus, DH+, RIO, EtherCAT etc.•Vision experience (KEYENCE, COGNEX, BALLUFF)•Servo experience (AB Kinetix.
