Summary:

The position manages the performance of deposit risk associates who are challenged to provide an elite level of service to our internal business partners and the bank's clients. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the execution of the fraud detection processes while ensuring that quality and productivity goals are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides staff supervision, support, and oversight for the daily processes of Deposit Risk which includes but not limited to Kiting reports, FIS, Daily Chargebacks, Daily Large Dollar Deposits, Deposit Review Desk, ACH and RDC reporting
  • Continuously reviews and enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of fraud risk management strategies
  • Designs, implements and/or maintains workflows for fraud detection processes in alignment with partner LOB's strategic objectives
  • Works with partners across the company as a liaison in the implementation of projects/strategies/initiatives with fraud implications
  • Works with relevant vendors as a liaison in the implementation of corporate projects/strategies/initiatives
  • Works with peers and external stakeholders to understand fraud trends, leading practices, and emerging risks and threats
  • Staying abreast of technological changes and advancements related to fraud detection processes
  • Ensure policies/procedures and regulations are current as it pertains to fraud processes to effectively mitigate losses
  • Provides staff supervision, support, and oversight for the daily processes of digital operations which includes but not limited to mobile deposit reviews, bill payment service requests, settlement activities for online transfers and Zelle payments, and other processes related to online and mobile banking
  • Displays a personal example of professional conduct and commitment to associates and First Horizon.
  • Ensures that the SLA's for both teams are met
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Deposit Services & Risk Manager
Requirements:
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated to learn and take ownership of role, and able to execute without constant supervision.
  • Strong analytical and critically thinking skills, able to work well under pressure, and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and balance daily work.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS-Office software products.
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports and staff that are remote (preferred).
  • Experience with executing, building/implementing, or overseeing certain fraud-related processes.
  • Experience developing and implementing process automation, quality control activities, and performance-based metrics (preferred).
  • College Graduate preferred or equivalent, at least five (5) years of experience in banking operations or in client/banker support functions.
Hours:
  • Monday - Friday / 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
