Vaco Boston has partnered with an emerging regional public accounting office who is looking for a motivated Audit Associate to join team. This position is responsible for serving to private business clients and nonprofits. This position offers a benefits package with a base salary, discretionary annual bonus, and a flexible work schedule.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs diversified accounting and auditing assignments
  • Participates in planning and scheduling client engagements
  • Executes operational and financial audits to ensure that financial statements are in accordance with standards
  • Effectively communicates with client to receive information necessary to complete the client engagements
  • Manage various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to verify accuracy and validity of client's financial matters
  • Develop a command of GAAP, other comprehensive bases of accounting, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1 years of experience or internship in public accounting
  • Proficiency with accounting software
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Have a strong curiosity with willingness to learn

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
