Commissions System Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commissions Systems Administrator to join our team. The Commissions Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in understanding and managing the compensation process for our organization. This role involves a deep understanding of data generation flow business rules within Core Commissions and the development of new commissions systems. The successful candidate will work closely with our internal teams to ensure accurate compensation calculations and drive process improvements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Understanding Compensation Process:

Gain an in-depth understanding of the compensation process specifically how data is generated in SQ Comp 2.0 and how it flows to Core Commissions.

Familiarize yourself with the business rules and lookup tables within Core Commissions that govern compensation.

Development of New Comp Systems:

Design develop and implement new compensation systems including Enrollers Managers LHA Life SQAH and others as required.

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new systems.

Business Rules and Workflow Management:

Responsible for managing changes to business rules and lookup tables within the compensation process.

Frequent updates to comp systems and the addition of new systems will require effective management of these changes.

Create and maintain workflows related to change management user access etc.

System Enhancement and Optimization:

Continuously improve and optimize existing compensation systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Identify and implement process enhancements that streamline data flow and calculation accuracy.

Reporting Data Integration:

Collaborate with Sales Operations and Sales Management to ensure seamless integration of compensation systems reporting data with other organizational systems such as CRM HR and finance systems.

Documentation and Training:

Create comprehensive documentation for compensation systems including detailed process flow charts ensuring that team members can effectively manage these systems.

Compliance and Audit Support:

Assist in ensuring that compensation systems comply with relevant regulations and standards.

Provide support during internal and external audits related to compensation. This includes developing new processes to document changes to the systems.

Problem Resolution:

Act as a point of contact for resolving issues or discrepancies related to compensation systems.

Troubleshoot and provide solutions to any technical or operational challenges.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with Commission Software
  • Data Analysis Skills using Excel/SQL
  • Experience in integrating commission systems with other organizational systems such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management), HRIS (Human Resources Information System), and financial systems
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) Tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight
  • Technical Documentation Skills
  • Knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBMS)
  • Experience with Change Management Tools like Git, JIRA, BitBucket
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology is a plus
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python and C# is a plus

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with commissions/compensation systems required

Physical Requirements

Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
