Industrial Air Flow Dynamics Inc. (IAFD) is currently recruiting a Procurement/Inventory person to join our corporate manufacturing team in Cleveland, TX.

With over 20 years of experience, Industrial Air Flow Dynamics is the premier field service group in the power generation industry and the leading provider of replacement expansion joint systems, penetration seal systems, and HRSG duct/liner replacement systems. We provide our power plant and utility customers with turn-key solutions driven by our engineering expertise. Our engineering team diagnoses the root cause of the problem and improves the OEM design, then our manufacturing team will build the required products, and our field services team will complete the on-site installation.

Procurement Responsibilities:

Works to plan, coordinate and support IAFD's Field Services and expansion joint manufacturing operations consistent with IAFD corporate production, quality and completion of goals. The day to day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Follow guidance to manage the vendor and supplier buying cycle. Execute all communication as needed (written, verbal or electronic), obtain quotes, evaluate vendor pricing, review and clarify proposals, summarize and make vendor recommendations, issue purchase orders, issue purchase order numbers for authorized transactions, obtain all required purchasing documentation.
  • Negotiate at time of order placement any additional material discounts and/or terms and conditions.
  • Responsible for pricing and purchasing materials, equipment, and outside services. This task is not limited and can be any item needed by IAFD.
  • Interact effectively with other IAFD revenue, delivery and financial operations colleagues to insure the effective movement of time sensitive job and delivery information.
  • Accurately execute any and all other tasks assigned. Interact effectively with all corporate network and database programs such as QuickBooks, ACT, Prophesy and Microsoft Office. Execute all operating responsibilities consistent with the policies and procedures contained in the IAFD Employee Handbook and the corporate performance and operating goals of IAFD.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner in the presence of our customers, our customer's contact personnel, outside vendors, other contractors and all IAFD and non IAFD personnel either at work locations or at IAFD's office.
  • Develops new supply sources where suppliers are no longer competitive or quality levels are not achieved.
  • Mandatory compliance at all times with IAFD'S safety program as defined in the corporate program. Safety compliance is mandatory during all tasks, jobs, or during the execution of any and all work on IAFD premises or in customer site locations.
Shipping/Receiving Requirements (Supporting/As Needed):
  • Execute inventory and asset transactions such as Build Assemblies, Sales Orders, Production Orders, Crib Transactions, Inventory Adjustments, Journal Entries, Receiving Items, Assigning VME numbers, Asset Disposition Reporting, 'Off the Shelf' reporting, accurate Job and Cost reporting and other financial tasks assigned by the CFO accurately and consistent with IAFD Financial Management procedures.
  • Execute all functions of shipping procedures both domestic and international. These functions include pricing, reviewing and engaging all forms of freight services. Issuing accurate Bills of Lading, import/export documents, packing list and all customer specific freight documentation.
  • Interact with the receiving of products and goods both at our warehouse locations and or plate sites to maintain an accurate inventory.

  • Competent in Microsoft programs, especially Excel and Word
  • Manufacturing background
  • Using Hands for repetitive actions
  • Basic simple math
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
