Job Summary:

A Bank Personal Banker III is a financial professional responsible for building and managing customer relationships, understanding their financial needs, and providing personalized banking solutions. This role requires a combination of sales acumen, financial expertise, and excellent customer service skills. Personal Bankers play a key role in helping customers achieve their financial goals while promoting and cross-selling various banking products and services.

Requirements

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by understanding their financial goals and needs. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
  • Financial Consultation: Conduct financial assessments to understand customers' current financial situations and future objectives. Provide tailored financial advice and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
  • Account Management: Open and close accounts, including checking, savings, certificates of deposit and individual retirement accounts. Assist customers with account-related transactions and maintenance.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to cross-sell and promote additional banking products and services. Introduce customers to loans, credit cards, and other financial offerings.
  • Loan Processing: Assist customers with loan applications and guide them through the loan approval process. Provide information on loan products, interest rates, and repayment terms.
  • Customer Education: Educate customers on the bank's products, services, and digital banking options. Conduct financial literacy sessions to enhance customers' understanding of financial concepts.
  • Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets for various banking products and services. Track and report sales performance regularly.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies. Stay updated on industry standards and changes in banking laws.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner. Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex customer problems.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, and account activities. Complete necessary paperwork for account changes, transactions, and service requests.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Exercise a willingness and commitment to adhere to the bank's core values.
  • Ability to identify and report risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the bank.
  • Excellent understanding of the Banks products and services.
  • Proficient in business products.
  • Demonstrated positive and helpful attitude toward both internal and external customers.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to use effective communication skills, understand procedures, and speak clearly to customers, employees and supervisors.
  • Satisfactory computer skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 -3 year of banking experience preferred.
