Position Overview:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for analyzing client data, creating reports, and delivering actionable insights to both internal teams and clients. This role requires a deep understanding of data analytics and financial principles, as well as the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in data analysis within the accounting or financial sector and will be able to leverage data to enhance our clients' business strategies.

This candidate must reside in Orlando as frequent travel to the office is required.

Essential Functions:
  • Data Collection & Management:
    • Collect, clean, and organize financial data from various sources including databases, accounting software, and client-provided data.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all data sources.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    • Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide clear insights into key financial metrics.
    • Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients, translating complex data into understandable insights.
  • Client Collaboration:
    • Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and their data.
    • Provide data-driven recommendations that align with clients' objectives and help improve their financial performance.
    • Support clients in implementing data-driven strategies and monitor the impact of these strategies over time.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement within the data analysis and reporting processes.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance data collection and analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Compliance & Security:
    • Ensure all data handling and analysis processes comply with relevant regulations, firm policies and data protection laws.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all client data.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the accounting or consulting services industry.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as ACL, IDEA, Power Query Editor, Power Automate, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Dynamics, Excel, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
    • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus, but not a requirement.
    • Experience with data mining, statistical analysis and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in creating custom applications with Power Apps, building automated workflows with Power Automate, and creating data pipelines and designing dashboards with Power BI. Highly proficient with Excel, including Power Query, PivotTables, and advanced formulas.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals, Power Platform Developer Associate, Power Platform Functional Consultant, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or other relevant certifications.
