Infrastructure Engineering Inc. (IEI) is seeking to Hire a motivated Part-time Human Resources Assistant to join our team in our downtown Chicago Corporate office. The Human Resources Assistant will assist with many HR functions within our Human Resources Department as you bring some previous hands-on experience working on various HR Generalist and Recruiting task including Onboarding, Screening Resumes, Scheduling Interviews and Database Management of Employee Files. This HR

Assistant role will provide you with additional exposure to real projects and the opportunity to work alongside senior staff and build you skills, ask questions and benefit from their extensive knowledge. Join our IEI Team and make an impact in shaping the future

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews
  • Support HR team in maintaining employee records and documentation
  • Participate in HR projects such as training initiatives and employee engagement programs
  • Help with onboarding new hires and conducting orientation sessions
  • Aid in benefits administration tasks and assist employees with HR-related inquiries
  • Contribute to HR compliance activities and assist with policy updates
Experience:
  • Familiarity with HR software systems such as PayCor, Deltek; as well as LinkedIn, Indeed and/or ZipRecruiter and other Job Board platform is a plus
  • Basic understanding of human resources management principles and practices a plus
  • Knowledge of HR functions like succession planning, change management, FMLA, and workforce management is desired
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field as a Rising Junior or Senior preferably
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources and/or Business Administration desired; or a Rising Junior or Senior majoring in related field will be considered
  • The ideal candidate will bring over 1-2 years' experience as a Human Resources Assistant/Specialist experience
Other Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates Integrity and ethical decision making
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
