JOB SUMMARY:
Position is accountable for performing all functions of accounts receivable and accounts payable in an accurate and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Generate and send out invoices.
  • Prepare and make bank deposits.
  • Process credit card payments and EDI transactions.
  • Post payments to customer accounts.
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment and other irregularities.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries.
  • Initiate collection efforts.
  • Review and verify invoices and obtain proper payment authorization.
  • Code invoices to the proper GL.
  • Enter invoices into the system.
  • Prepare and perform check runs.
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
  • Perform related duties as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Position requires knowledge and experience in processing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn computers, including, but not limited to, WORD processing, Excel spreadsheets and accounting software systems.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, be organized and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated experience in basic accounting principles – accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form, with a variety of individuals (internal and external) and resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Ability to accurately enter information and provide attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics.
  • Knowledge and skills identified are acquired through progressive, related experience in accounting. A two-year degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, is helpful.
