Loan Operations Specialist - Booking and ServicingPrimary Duties and Responsibilities: The teammate is responsible for booking, servicing, collateral review and/or imaging for commercial and consumer loan accounts, as assigned, providing the highest quality of service to every customer and serving as a point of contact for questions and training. Essential Functions:Delivers exceptional customer service by responding to questions, providing information and assistance to ensure that accounts are serviced in an accurate and timelyProvides training to Loan Operations Assistants, Client Support Managers and Loan OfficersWrites new procedures and keeps current procedures updatedPerforms and/or serves as backup for one or more of the following areas of responsibility, as assigned:Booking & Servicing:Responsible for all tasks related to the uploading of a loan to the host system and the proper maintenance and servicing of loan accounts and client requestsReviews loan documents to ensure that they agree with the approved terms of the loan and are in compliance with policies and regulationsEnters customer and loan application information into the Jack Henry core systemReviews and ensures receipt and validity of loan documentsReviews all data entry to ensure accuracyResponds to and researches credit bureau requests and any corresponding maintenanceBalances general ledger accounts; prepares and distributes various related reportsResponds to verbal and written requests for payoff quotesProcesses all incoming paymentsCollateral Review:Responsible for all collateral-related tasks to ensure the Bank's interests are protectedEnsures receipt and validity of the loan documents and performs quality checkIdentifies and monitors collateral exceptions, updates host system accordinglyRecords and releases liensOrders post searches and verifies proper lien position; works with title company to resolve exceptionTracks flood and hazard insuranceMonitors and reports all outstanding feesPrepares subordination agreementsReviews daily and monthly tracking reportsPerforms monthly and quarterly audits of cash collateralImaging:Responsible for all aspects of imaging including sorting and/or preparing hard copies, scanning, indexing and quality checkingOpens and distributes mailPrepares documents for scanningUtilizes third party software to scan hardcopy files to electronic images, ensuring a quality imagePerforms manual data entry of required fields for validation and/or verificationFollows production procedures to complete internal indexing, documentation, and trackingPerforms quality checks on documents scanned to ensure accuracy; detects image errors and corrects any quality issues as neededReviews and prepares statements for mailingFiles documents and maintains records; prepares documents for storage and destructionResponds to research requestsRequired Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent educational experienceAt least three years of experience in loan servicing, including booking and/or collateral reviewProven skill in reviewing and interpreting loan documentation; experience with the Laser Pro documentation system is a plusFor Booking and Servicing: Demonstrates understanding of the inner workings of commercial/consumer loans (i.e. interest calculations, loan participations, general ledgers) in order to be able to set up and maintain accountsFor Collateral Review: Demonstrates familiarity with all aspects of collateral, including but not limited to lien perfection and release, title commitments, final title policies and insuranceKnowledge of compliance and regulations related to collateral and loan servicingHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailHigh level of computer proficiency and full understanding of Microsoft Office products and similar applications; knowledge of the Jack Henry core system helpfulExcellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines; ability to organize and prioritize tasksRegular EmployeeHourly WageThe National Bank of Indianapolis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
