The overall objective of the department in which this position works is:

To be a high-performance customer driven department. To provide excellent service in the replenishing of stocks, fulfillment of orders, and shipping for all customers. Our goal is to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction and quality.

The major function of this position is:

Partner with internal stakeholders on receiving, allocating and analyzing marketing materials, globally. Coordinate Systematic shipments across the Maui Jim network of distribution centers, suppliers, and customers. Support the department in evaluating overall spend and service measurements through business intelligence and data analytics. Strive for operational excellence and customer satisfaction while promoting a high level of teamwork and professionalism.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Marketing Operations Function:
  • Collaborate with Marketing Material Operations, Visual Merchandising and Trade Marketing teams to collect and analyze forecasts for all marketing and promotional materials.
  • Consolidate quotes and analyze total transportation spend on marketing materials to support budget, FC1, and FC2 forecasts.
  • Assist in the collection of master data for new POP items and systematically receive all inbound marketing shipments in SAP. Code and submit relevant invoices to AP.
  • Work with Planning and Transportation teams to determine and coordinate direct shipments of POP from vendors to DCs as necessary, including all intercompany movements in SAP. Communicate status of all shipments.
  • Identify and resolve any systematic or physical discrepancies with various internal teams and suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels at warehouses and coordinate with suppliers on weekly basis to arrange shipments to cover demand. Create intercompany POs to replenish, as needed. Work with vendors to prioritize production around capacity constraints.
  • Partner with sales support at each DC to ensure orders are entered correctly, filled on time, and allocated according to demand plan.
  • Coordinate with Logistics teams to update and maintain our Vendor Guidelines related to POP. Ensure supplier shipments adhere to packaging guidelines and create scorecards to rate vendors accordingly. Focus on areas that will reduce the cost to serve.
Business Analytics Functions:
  • Responsible for the creation of marketing materials (POP) reporting on a weekly basis to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop reporting tools to track and monitor freight and storage costs related to marketing materials. Utilize this to identify opportunities and risks and share with relevant stakeholders.
  • In partnership with the planning and sales team, develop reporting on the delivery portfolio for the logistics team.
  • Assist in the development of standardized reports, KPIs for operational performance, customer scorecards, and businesses trends to be shared with leadership.
  • Maintain freight and pricing tables in SAP. Work with internal teams on business requirements and testing.
  • Serve as the main logistics liaison with IT and Business Intelligence group for data analytics efforts.
  • Present and explain analyses and insights to major stakeholders and executives
General Functions:
  • Assist in the development of operational procedures and guidelines.
  • Build and foster strong cross functional relationships across departments to ensure support of logistics strategy and alignment with Maui Jim objectives.
  • All other duties as requested or assigned.
Special Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to utilize a PC and perform data entry.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to be at the receiving dock and monitor physical receptions to validate shipment discrepancies.
Desired Qualifications

As a guide, indicated below is the preferred education and experience for this position:
  • Bachelor's degree in business with 3+ yrs of supply chain experience.
  • Proven experience in inventory management, planning, and forecasting required.
  • Understanding of logistics metrics related to service, cost, and quality.
  • Working knowledge of BI tools and data visualizations.
In lieu of education, the following equivalent experience is preferred:
  • 5 years inventory analysis in the Logistics/Supply Chain field. Working knowledge of BI tools.
Skills required to perform job:
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management in a professional manner
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access required
  • Analytical and technical proficiency with software (SAP, WMS, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment to accomplish goals
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to fulfill responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
