Mountain View Hospital is looking for a General Maintenance GM I / Main Campus to join our team

JOB SUMMARY: GM I level Maintenance technicians are responsible for performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs necessary to keep the equipment and physical structure of the hospital in working order. Most work is performed during day shift. Some work is performed on nights and weekends depending on the needs of the Hospital

Please note benefits are based on eligibility according to full-time, part-time or PRN status classification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support positive patient outcomes by maintaining the environment of care within the Hospital

2. Perform daily rounds to inspect and document conditions of critical equipment and infrastructure.

3. Practice workplace safety in alignment with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.

4. Document maintenance and repair activities via computerized work order system.

5. Utilize a variety of hand and power tools.

6. Service and maintain a wide range of equipment including, but not limited to: Pumps, motors, fans, air-handlers, boilers, ice machines, plumbing fixtures, fire alarm systems, compressors, vehicles, sprinkler systems etcetera.

7. Perform manual labor such as furniture moving, landscaping, and snow removal.

8. Use discretion when working around patients and in sensitive areas of the hospital.

9. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

10. Perform after-hours work on a rotating on-call basis and as required due to emergencies.

11. Participate in trainings and performance improvement projects.

12. Patch and paint drywall and make repairs to firewall penetrations

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Minimum of high school diploma or GED. Experience in construction trades or building maintenance preferred

Language/Communication: Must be able to communicate complex ideas and instructions in English. Must be able to read and understand instruction manuals and code books.

Physical: Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift at least 50 pounds. Must be able to work outdoors in all seasons.

Technical: Basic computer skills, and proficiency with hand and power tools is required. Basic familiarity with building codes and OSHA regulations preferred.
