| Posted on 06/11/2024 As a member of the technical staff, the Senior CivilEngineer is involved in all aspects of Civil projects from inception toconclusion. The Senior Civil Engineer provides engineering support for theCivil Engineering Department in the development of construction plans forroadways, site work and utility relocations, maintaining the Company’sengineering procedures. Development of assigned projects in a manner thatexceeds customers’ expectations and ensures that work adheres to all companypolicies is required. This position reports to the Department Manager, CivilEngineering. Assists in managing projects through effective communication,negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costsand profitability. Assists in the development, review and approval of constructionplans, including goals and objectives, work breakdown structure, detailed scopedescriptions, detailed schedules, risk management approach, milestonedescriptions, budgets and staffing requirements. Provides technical support to marketing for bids and proposals. Manages, expedites, and supports consultants’ and constructiondocument submittals, budgets, and schedules. Maintains and fosters contacts with consultants, contractors, andclients. Assists with the development of new Engineering standards andmaintains and improves existing standards and guidelines, implementing industryand company best practices. Acts as a subject matter expert regarding some Civil engineeringactivities. Interacts closely with internal teams to ensure that project needsand objectives are met. Prepares engineering scope documents, exhibits, budgets,specifications, schedules, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Leads or participates in project meetings and conference calls. Produces quality engineering plans, studies, and specificationswhile ensuring compliance with department, project, company, utility, andindustry requirements and standards. Participates in engineering, design, and construction reviewprocesses. Interprets plans, specifications, drawings, and documents related toengineering and construction. Additional duties as required.

AutoCAD Civil 3D familiarity required MicroStation familiarity preferred, but not required Must be a strong team player or able to work independently Self-driven, detail-oriented with analytical mindset Good verbal and written communication skills Must be able to pass background check, drug screen and have acceptable driving record Physical Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While on-site, the employee may lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
