Team members partner with Product, Engineering, Ad Operations, and Client Services representatives to solve problems and implement scalable solutions that help grow the Roku ads ecosystem. About the role We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Technical Operations, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to onboard and maintain integrations with 3rd party programmatic platforms, ensuring the health of programmatic ad spending across the Roku supply network. You will also partner with Engineering and Product teams to support ad-serving and ad-decision workflows within our core ads mediation layer, Roku Exchange. What you'll be doing Partner with third-party programmatic platforms to onboard new partners, manage inventory rules, and maintain network configurations. Act as subject matter expert for programmatic buying channels. Establish best practices to maximize performance and stability across PG, PMP, and Marketplace deal types and monetization strategies. Ensure the health of programmatic deals across integrated demand platforms, acting as primary contact for technical escalations and troubleshooting inquiries. Develop dashboards and custom reports to monitor programmatic activity by platform and investigate performance issues. Develop deep expertise across Roku supply routing and ad mediation pathways. Maintain network configurations and own the process for implementing system changes that impact supply routing. Partner closely with the Inventory Management team to maintain a detailed record of configuration settings for internal and external supply routing systems. Partner with Product and Engineering leads to flag service disruptions, resolve system outages, and advise on improvements that can improve network performance. Align with Product Managers to validate quarterly feature releases, ensuring the successful rollout of features that impact programmatic monetization, video ad-serving, and supply mediation. Develop documentation to outline critical details about system architecture, operational tools, and troubleshooting processes that support the core Ad Platform. Working with Senior Engineers and Product Managers to define the next generation of products, services, and applications within the Roku Ad Platform, including identifying gaps in the existing system and designing alternatives that are scalable, robust, and easy to maintain. Contributing to the vision, strategy, and execution for the Technical Operations, QA, Product, and Engineering groups across the Roku Advertising Network. We're excited if you have 5-10 years' experience in AdTech/MarTech at a top-line publisher, DSP, SSP, Ad Network, or Ad Agency, preferably as a Solutions or Integrations or Professional Services Engineer. 1-3 years of experience with big data visualization tools such as Looker, DataDog, Tableau, or similar. Ability to develop custom dashboards, looks, and views. Exposure to and working knowledge of SQL, HIVE, or another database architecture is required. Knowledge of the performance advertising landscape, specifically with ad servers, DSPs, DMPs, ad networks, ad platforms, etc. Comprehension and experience in trafficking digital video and other formats, including VAST and VMAP. Track record of success in providing technical support for external and internal stakeholders, particularly while overseeing complex integrations. Ability to communicate, concisely, and effectively, both verbally and in writing to different audiences such as Product, Engineering, Operations, and Sales. Strong critical-thinking, analytical, logical, and results-oriented skillset focusing on data analysis, reconciliation, and transformation. Highly proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, chart-making, and manipulation of large data sets. Analytical mindset, project management-oriented, deadline-driven, and process-oriented with a solutions-oriented composition. Experience working with engineering to triage and resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering/Computer Science).
