They need to have a good knowledge of the sports industry, including key players, trends, and the companies operating in it. The position also involves developing relationships with clients and maintaining them over time. The Sales Coordinator needs to be highly organized, able to manage their time to reach sales targets, and maintain a database of potential clients. To succeed in this role, a Sales Coordinator needs to demonstrate creativity, tenacity, and an ability to work collaboratively with other departments within a sports organization.Work with companies and local businesses to secure sponsorships for sporting events and organizationsDevelop and maintain relationships with potential and current sponsorsGather market data and analytics to pitch to sponsorsNegotiate sponsorship packages and contracts with potential sponsorsCollaborate with marketing and advertising teams to create customized sponsorship packages and promotional materialsAttend networking events and speaking engagements to promote sponsorshipsManage and track sponsorships throughout the season or eventProvide excellent customer service to sponsors and ensure their needs are metAnalyze and evaluate sponsorship successes and areas of improvementContinuously identify new sponsorship opportunities and prospects.Preferred Qualifications:•Bachelor's degree in related field.•Two to three years of sales experience.•Experience working with athletic promotions and sports marketing.
