The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for sustaining product quality, process design, production efficiency, and supplier management while driving product cost reduction and consistency. This role requires working with both foreign and domestic contract manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to New Product Introduction (NPI) teams and product launches at Contract Manufacturer (CM) sites.
  • Create and coordinate work and test instruction documentation.
  • Design and coordinate test and assembly fixtures to improve process control and production throughput.
  • Participate in design reviews and prototype builds to provide design feedback during development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment and success throughout the product life cycle.
  • Serve as a product owner for major product families, managing sustaining engineering activities and engineering changes.
  • Report manufacturing key performance metrics (KPIs) to leaders.
  • Act as the technical point-of-contact (POC) with the contract manufacturer program team. Provide production support to achieve operational safety, quality, and productivity goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • 2-5 years of related electromechanical product-based experience.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, 3D modeling, engineering drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and mechanical mindset with a desire to solve real-world manufacturing problems.
  • Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving production assembly/test issues.
  • Familiarity with production best practices such as LEAN, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
  • Ability to independently lead cross-functional projects to completion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and organized, capable of working self-directed in both team-based and individual settings.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based industrial systems and Python is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 10-25% both domestically and internationally.
