About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Machinist II to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including presses, eyelet machines, and tool room equipment.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond to emergency repair requests during production hours and perform unscheduled repairs as needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Complete scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Fabrication and Repair: Fabricate parts using various materials and equipment, including milling machines, lathes, grinders, welders, and shears.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration with Engineering: Work with engineering to create and edit prints for machine parts and participate in equipment upgrades and improvements.
  • Quality Control: Perform routine tests and qualifications on equipment and document findings and results.
  • General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance duties, including cleaning floors, removing garbage, and unclogging drains.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or manufacturing operations required.
  • Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical schematics, basic computer skills, and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Certifications: State of Connecticut Machinist Journeymen's card and forklift operator's certificate preferred.
