A growing home healthcare company in Brooklyn, NY, is looking for a Patient Relations Rep to join their team.

Responsibilities:
  • Enter accurate patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Greet patients, verify and correct information, copy insurance cards.
  • Communicate changes in demographic and insurance information.
  • Obtain updated patient registration signatures.
  • Collect and enter co-pays.
  • Complete sliding scale fees and make cards for patients.
  • Verify patient charges, recheck insurance information, schedule return appointments, and collect balances due.
  • Run daily close reports, reconcile cash, checks, and credit card charges.
  • Complete reconciliation reports including bank deposit slips.
  • Enter and verify patient demographics when scheduling appointments.
  • Ensure accuracy in insurance information and resolve patient billing concerns.
  • Resolve work queue errors and collaborate with practice coders.
  • Respond to billing and insurance inquiries.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and quality improvement activities.
  • Provide phone coverage, accurate follow-up, and communication of messages.
  • Provide coverage at other clinic sites as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, making copies, and faxing documents.
Ideal Qualifications:
  • One year of clerical experience in a medical office setting.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
