Guest Service Representative

Job Summary:
The Guest Service Representative at Fairfield Inn & Suites - Charlotte University Research Park is a vital team member responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all hotel guests. This individual will ensure that guests have a positive experience during their stay and will handle any guest concerns or requests with professionalism and efficiency. This is a full-time position on the 3pm - 11pm shift, individual contributor role with a competitive salary and benefits package located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly salary of $15 to $16 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition to salary, employees can take advantage of a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career growth within our hotel and the Marriott International brand.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from current or potential guests
- Address any guest concerns, requests, or issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of guest transactions
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Assist with room reservations and make recommendations for local attractions and events
- Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest experience
- Follow hotel policies and procedures at all times to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
- Provide exceptional customer service and strive to exceed guest expectations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in computer systems and software, such as Microsoft Office and hotel reservation software
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
