They are experts in exports, trading with China, and shipping cargo for automotive companies, tooling, medical devices, and electronics to every part of the United States or anywhere in the world. They also manage every aspect of trade show logistics. They ship exhibits, booths and special furniture and set up and dismantle rooms for trade shows and figure out the best way to store exhibits between events. Their solutions to customers most challenging issues are derived from decades of success in global logistics.

Freight Forwarding Sales Executive

Our client is taking over the logistics industry and looking for the best sales professionals in the business. As a Freight Forwarding Sales Executive, youll be responsible for selling international services (Air & Ocean) to various customers with a majority focus on project-based, critical, high-touch point shipments. Freight Forwarding Sales Executives should have a passion for international forwarding, revenue generation, account management and building new relationships. Youll also develop creative solutions to help solve customers' problems. Individuals must be self-motivated, proactive, creative, appreciate continuous learning and enjoy contributing to a growth-minded company.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify potential customer accounts and key decision makers based on companys service capabilities.
  • Generate leads through various prospecting methods including cold calling, attending networking events, serving as an active member in the business community and customer referrals.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer accounts are serviced to the highest potential.
  • Manage customer expectations and negotiate the best cost-effective solutions.
  • Achieve KPI for target calls, appointments, revenue and gross profit.
  • Ensure successful completion of day-to-day commitments to customers and internal team members.

Experience:

  • 5-10+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding Sales (including selling both air and ocean transportation) with a focus on project-based, critical, high-touch point shipments.
  • Should be considered self-motivated, proactive and extrovert
  • High energy and strong desire to achieve top results with a positive can-do attitude both over the phone / virtually and in person
  • Expertise at quickly building rapport and strong business relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, coachable, and resilient attitude
  • Goal oriented, self-disciplined, and self-motivated to produce results
  • Good problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Passion for problem solving innovation and flexibility to drive scale of business

This position offers a competitive base salary.
