Houston, TX ) Join our Team The Project Execution Director is responsible for the execution and quality of all customer-facing projects at Concept Systems Inc., providing oversight and direction to overhead, management, and technical resources during all phases of the project lifecycle. This role ensures effective resource assignment and project performance while maintaining and enhancing client relationships. As a strategic member of the executive team, the Project Execution Director develops and maintains organizational strategies and initiatives in alignment with corporate goals and collaborates with other executive team members to deliver company-wide initiatives. This includes managing project schedules, resources, and risks. Leads and coordinates cross-functional teams, including overhead resources, engineers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution. This involves providing direction, support, and performance management. Develops and maintains high-level relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Ensures strategic alignment of project goals with client expectations and company objectives, addressing high-priority concerns and managing executive-level communications and negotiations. Ensures that all projects adhere to the Concept Systems project methodology, established internal and external standards, and company quality policies. This involves conducting regular project reviews, audits, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Oversees the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. This responsibility includes monitoring project expenses, ensuring financial objectives are met, and providing financial updates to the executive team. Actively participates in executive team initiatives and strategic planning sessions. Contributes to the development and implementation of company-wide strategies, policies, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. JOB DUTIES · Takes ownership of project success by directing, mentoring, and coaching team members to determine project resource needs and skill levels required for projects to ensure success. · Works collaboratively with Technical Resource Director to ensure the project execution function has the appropriate resources based on headcount, technical skill mix, experience, and industry knowledge. Develops compensation plans for the team, ensuring equity of wage-related activities regarding hiring, raises, and bonuses. · Collaborates with Technical Resource Director on hiring plans, promotions and career development of team members, and retention. · Works with the finance organization on wage and benefits administration ensuring compliance with established wage laws. · Works with Opportunity Sponsors and the sales and marketing organization to determine project resource needs and skill levels required for proposals. · Ensures customer satisfaction in all dealings associated with Concept Systems. · Utilizes a comprehensive knowledge of the industry, our clients, and learned experience to strengthen the company’s position in the marketplace. · Ensures the project execution team is motivated, engaged, and well-trained while maintaining compliance with established employment laws. · Possesses a thorough understanding of both the company’s and the role’s KPIs and manages them to meet or exceed the annually established departmental targets. · Utilizes strong interpersonal and leadership skills to develop and maintain the trust of team members and maintain healthy, productive relationships across all functions. · Develops and manages departmental and assigned corporate budgets. · Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance. · Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. · Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation abilities, essential for working with customers and coworkers. Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure. · Respectfully takes direction from manager. · Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees in local offices and remote offices and supervises team managers based on current organizational structure. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Manages the team and leads initiatives through high energy and positive influence: · Coaching and timely, relevant feedback to assist in better serving the team and customers. · Assists in the development of individual career paths. · Offers and recommends appropriate training. · Conducts bi-annual Success Planning with each direct report. TRAVEL REQUIREMENT This position requires occasional (6-20% of the position) travel to meet with clients and customers, visit teams at other locations, and to attend various conferences, industry events and training seminars. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) in Engineering from a four-year college or university, and ten or more years of experience in automation & controls or manufacturing and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. COMPUTER SKILLS Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
