Job Summary

The DOT Compliance Specialist will be based out of Arc3 Gases' Richmond Corporate Office and ensure that Arc3s team of over 400 CDL drivers remains compliant with DOT, FMCSA, NTA, and IFTA regulations.

Responsibilities:

+ Qualifying new drivers by ensuring all credentials, Clearinghouse Queries, Driver Qualification Paperwork and DOT Testing have been completed.

+ Coordinate employee training for both Hazardous Materials/Hazard Communication, defensive driving, hours of service, pre and post trip inspections, and any other applicable training.

+ Preparing, maintaining, regularly auditing, and purging driver qualification files.

+ Coordinating random, reasonable suspicion, follow-up, and post-accident drug testing for existing drivers.

+ Utilizing the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse to review new drivers records and complete the annual review for all existing drivers.

+ Maintain the Random Drug & Alcohol pool list and confirm that testing is performed as required.

+ Notifying drivers of upcoming document expirations, obtaining renewed documents, and electronically storing them

+ Reviewing and approving driver MVRs on at least an annual basis

+ Managing prospective and current employees with positive drug test results through DOT return to duty process

+ Continuously monitoring DOT, FMCSA, NTA, and IFTA, and state and local government regulatory activities to ensure that Arc3s drivers remain compliant.

+ Working with Arc3s Regulatory Compliance Manager and General Counsel to address any driver compliance issues.

Additional Responsibilities:

+ Managing Arc3s Entry Level Driver Training Program.

+ Modernizing Arc3s DOT Compliance administration by leveraging technology, automation, and best practices.

+ Preparing and filing various registrations and permits.

+ Ordering placards, logbooks, daily truck inspection books, etc.

+ Performing other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ 5+ years of experience in a professional office environment is preferred.

+ 2 years of experience in a similar DOT administrative support role is strongly preferred.

+ Strong preference for prior knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.

+ Must possess excellent organizational skills and be detail-oriented.

+ Proficiency in MS Office is required.

+ Ability to maintain strict confidentiality is required.

+ Must be able to multi-task, follow directions, be open to change, and work under pressure.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

+ A passion for providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
