Privately held company that owns and operates commercial real estate needs senior accountant to help oversee accounting functions for multiple entities
Functions include, but not limited to:
*Prepares and maintains all financial information for a portion of the company's commercial real estate portfolio.
*Responsible for month-end close activities, reconciling general ledger accounts, and participating in special projects.
*Produce financial statements and analysis for partners and stockholders
*Prepare and formally present multiple year cash flow projections
*Maintain capital balances for each of the partnerships and produce semi-annual distributions
*Prepare and record annual budget with monthly variances
*Semi-annually: internally audit companies and prepare workpapers to support financial statements
*Maintain internal controls by reconciling the other accountants cash accounts monthly
*Maintain appropriate cash balances in bank accounts
*Responsible for cash receipts and deposits daily
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field from an accredited university. 3+ years prior experience as a Senior Accountant preferably in the real estate industry but will train.
Application Knowledge: Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, etc.) is required. Experience with MRI is a plus.
