Job Overview: RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Clinical Director for our Oncology Unit at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ. With over 700 physicians and 2,100 employees, we offer advanced treatment for a wide variety of medical conditions. Qualifications: Required: ASN or Nursing Diploma Strong communication and organizational skills Proficient computer skills Preferred: Medical/Surgical nursing experience and Oncology nursing experience Oncology Nursing Certification BSN and MSN Certifications and Licenses Required: BLS and ACLS Certification Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License Scheduling Requirements: Day Shift, 40 hours per week Monday-Friday (salaried position) Essential Functions: The Clinical Director provides nursing care oversight within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, ensuring awareness of ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics. The Clinical Director assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice, maintaining awareness of their own knowledge and experience while advancing the knowledge of the patient care team. The Clinical Director is responsible for preventing and reporting identified safety issues and medical errors. The Clinical Director must have knowledge of the patient population served. The Clinical Director supervises and directs the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers. The Clinical Director consistently sets and evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement. The Clinical Director integrates all aspects of care and individualizes the plan of care to address specific patient needs.
