This temporary assignment may transition to regular status. The selected candidate must have a valid/current Texas driver's license and a clean driving record. Purpose Provide administrative assistance to the Special Events Sergeant. This will include scheduling officers for all special events on campus (Athletics, Moody, PAC, etc), help with billing for services, and other general administrative work as needed. Responsibilities Working with the Special Events Sergeant to help schedule officers for all events on campus using various software programs. Keeping track of all billing and submit as necessary. Confirm timesheets are submitted and complete. Attend meetings with Sergeant, and provide assistance in other related areas as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three years of clerical experience, including one year of experience at either the Administrative Assistant or the Administrative Associate level, or high school graduation or GED, and seven years of clerical experience. Experience with complex scheduling and communicating with multiple people. Able to manage deadlines. Must be comfortable with using a computer for high-level administrative work. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Prefer experience in law enforcement or first responder environment. Experience with UT programs and systems, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Suite. Driving Required This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing). Hourly Rate $25.00 Working Conditions Attire: Business Casual Standard Office Environment, Use of manual dexterity, Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation, Lifting, pushing, or pulling, Standing Work Shift Hours per week - 40 The work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some additional overtime may be needed.
