Sr. Lead Revenue Accounting Analyst

The Sr. Revenue Accountant Analyst will have solid accounting and business acumen along with strong work ethic. This role requires collaboration with individuals in various teams thus requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills. Functions and Responsibilites
Revenue recording of various assets associated with Gas/NGL’s/ Condi production
Assistance with potential back fill of helping on Regulatory Severance Tax and Federal/ State royalty obligations
Working with Land Department associated with ownership of wells
Reconciliation of the applicable balance sheets accounts (e.g. royalty accounts) on a timely basis.
Provide variance explanations with respect to income statement revenues e.g. royalties
Assist in responding to internal and external audits requests for documentation and explanations.
Follow all internal controls related to revenue royalty accounting.
Prepare ad-hoc operational and financial reports as requested.
Investigate and help resolve interface issues between systems.
Prepare manual vouchers as required for uploading into systems.
Provide back-up data requested by Legal on legal audit claims and lawsuits.
Assist with unclaimed property audit.
Assist Manager as backfill as needed to help mentor team on particular situations.
Requirements
Legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer
10
years of Production, Revenue, Royalty and Marketing Accounting experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Knowledgeable of Best Business Practice related to revenue accounting processes
Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups)
Experience with SAP and Production Revenue Accounting systems (Waterfield Energy and Energy Components software preferred).
Prior Supervisor/ Lead experience managing a small team reporting up to a Manager
