Responsibilities : Implements and maintains PeopleSoft /financial systems and related financial systems, including data, data infrastructure, system integrity, control data, reports and reporting infrastructure by providing analysis, setup, and testing of programs to ensure accurate financial results and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles. Serves as the liaison between the business and the technical team. Provides financial systems functional and technical assistance and support for business users. Under moderate supervision, oversees, reviews, and implements new financial system releases, upgrades, fixes, and enhancements. Under moderate supervision, works with key stakeholders to write financial systems business requirements and/or create agile user stories that ensure that user needs and system requirements are identified and facilitate the preparation of technical specifications documentation. Develops, documents, and performs system testing, focusing on issue resolution and system integrity. Recommends controls by identifying problems, writing improved procedures and/or test scripts. Makes recommendations and assists in the development of new and more efficient solutions and procedures relating to financial processing using new and existing software. Performs all system administration for assigned business application including security administration, configuration management, system monitoring, and appropriate documentation of all activities. Participates on project teams, representing the financial systems perspective, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) or team member. Creates and maintains system documentation, user manuals and training documents of moderate complexity. Develops new functional processes and procedures for end users of moderate complexity Makes recommendations and assists in the development of new processes and procedures for end users. Assists with financial systems financial and security audits. Travels occasionally to participate in special assignments, training, and/or travel between office locations. Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Information Systems, or related field. 2+ years of experience with PeopleSoft or similar applications. Experience with web-based technology and relational databases. Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments to ensure deadlines are met. Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting information and data to recommend solutions that drive effectiveness and efficiency. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business, Finance, or related field with concentration in accounting or commensurate experience. Experience with Microsoft Office or transferable software packages. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the company. Knowledge of Agile practices and principles include SAFe methodology. Valid driver’s license and a driving record that conforms to company standards. Physical essential functions: ability to work 40 hours in an office environment (sitting, standing, on a computer, etc.), operate office related technology (computer, phone, etc.), travel as required.
