Maintains all CTE lab equipment such as diagnostic lifts, tire equipment, stoves, and ovens, etc., as neededMaintain list of tools and equipment in company software to track assets, maintenance schedules, operating instructions, and other information required to plan and track maintenance and repairsIdentify and order supplies, materials, equipment and services for labsMaintain inventory of lab supplies and equipmentOrganize supplies for storage and/or distribution Maintain an inventory and check-out system for all equipment and audio-visual materials, if appropriateConduct basic diagnostic, maintenance, and repair on all CTE tools and equipment, as skills allowDevelop and maintain safety and procedural manuals for lab spacesPrepare and process various purchasing forms to include, but not limited to, Purchase Requisition, Reimbursement, and Payment Request forms; review and confirm accuracy of invoices for approval of paymentDevelop an understanding of the instruction completed in CTE labs to adequately prepare labs for instructional purposes prior to semester or course start dates. Coordinate maintenance and repairs with facultyAssist CTE faculty and facilitators with lab instruction setup and special eventsIn partnership with faculty, supervise open labs for students for additional practice to reinforce instruction, as skills allowTrain and oversee student employees to assist in creating a safe and clean lab environmentWork collaboratively with others (e.g., colleagues, stakeholders, vendors) to accomplish functions and responsibilitiesAssume additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisorQualifications: Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution in a CTE program or closely related field or equivalentOSHA certified forklift training and operation within 60 days of start dateOne year work experience in a lab environmentExperience working in an academic laboratory environmentBasic skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and other computer functions, to keep the lab operating efficientlyAbility to learn technological applications such as equipment and maintenance catalog software, operation, and testing or equipment, computer, and software used CTE classrooms and labsAbility to manage and organize multiple tasks and to prioritizeAbility to work with multiple faculty and staff members simultaneouslyAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with persons contacted in the course of workWillingness to continually train for technological equipment updatesAbility to troubleshoot routine equipment problemsMust be a self-starter and able to work independently in the labs and classroomsAbility to safely lift 50 pounds unassistedMust have a valid Illinois driver's licenseCommitment to and respect for diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion, and the companies Behaviors of ExcellenceUnderstanding of an commitment to the companies mission, vision, values, and goalsAbility to perform all essential functions, skills, and specifications of the position
