Claims Examiner- Workers Compensation
Pay rate: $47.14
Location: Remote- Must reside in California
Contract: 4-months (with the opportunity to extend)

Description:
The Claims Examiner is responsible for analyzing complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due. This role involves working with high-exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation, ensuring ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client service requirements. The Claims Examiner will also identify subrogation opportunities and negotiate settlements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze complex workers' compensation claims
  • Determine appropriate benefits for claimants
  • Handle high-exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation
  • Ensure timely and accurate adjudication of claims
  • Adhere to service expectations, industry best practices, and client requirements
  • Identify subrogation opportunities
  • Negotiate claim settlements
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of California workers' compensation claims experience
  • OSIP (Occupational Safety and Injury Prevention) certification
  • In-depth knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage complex cases
