Director of Center Operations

The Freedom Center's Director of Operations is responsible for the daily management of Freedom Center's online systems and tools, production processes and efficiencies, and optimization of organizational workflow to achieve its strategic goals and initiatives. The Director of Operations will work under the supervision of the Executive Director and VP of Communications to help manage Freedom Center personnel in weekly assignments, daily decision-making, and workflow processes. This position is hands-on and requires the execution of the missional goals and operational objectives to ensure that all Freedom Center priorities under the Liberty's guiding mission are fully met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with the Executive Director and Vice President for Communications in project management and help to develop performance goals, standards, and procedures to ensure deliverables of the Freedom Center are met on time. Assist the Executive Director in budgetary analysis and reporting, and help set priorities for a yearly calendar of key events, projects, and operations. Maximize efficiencies for Center operations and systems with regular feedback and recommendations based on careful analysis and reporting of progress and results. Responsible for working as an intermediary and representative for the Freedom Center while utilizing Liberty University systems and tools and in close partnership with other campus departments to ensure goals and objectives are met on time. Must be task-oriented with an appreciation and respect for Liberty's internal policies and procedures while managing Freedom Center personnel, resources, and systems with an attention to detail. Provides regular reports, budgets, and evaluations of Center activities and objectives. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Education and Experience

Preferred Qualifications: Self-starter, goal-oriented professional who is adept with project management and objectives. Must possess a strong grasp of cultural and political issues that are at forefront of public conscience and media focus. Ability to work closely with a dynamic range of people while maintaining strict deadlines. Desire to work in a collaborative environment where teamwork is essential to accomplishing goals and objectives. Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Qualifications: Demonstration of strong agreement with the mission, policy, and advocacy of the Standing for Freedom Center. Superior ability to organize and maintain goals and deadlines to meet strategic objectives. Must have working knowledge of basic CRM and other organizational tools to help keep the team on track with deliverables. Must have a background in content and media production to help manage both the calendar and strategy of Standing for Freedom Center. Individual must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, -or- be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.14(b)(18)(i))

ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB Organizational and Network Acumen Manager and organizer of Standing for Freedom Center content production and deliverables. Demonstrates effective ability to work in collaboration with team members. Organized focus and ability to maintain Center schedule. Deadline and goal-oriented.

Problem Solving Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems.

Physical and Sensory Abilities Required to travel throughout the year and provide leadership in a number of settings on and off campus. Regularly required to hear and speak in order to effectively communicate orally Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building Occasionally required to handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop in order to conduct business Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds
