This position can be located at our corporate headquarters in the West Fulton Market District of Chicago, IL, or at our Wilmington, OH and Scranton, PA manufacturing facilities with a hybrid work schedule.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Master Data Analyst is primarily responsible for the development, management, coordination and maintenance of master data architecture, practices, procedures, reporting, analysis, and execution. The individual will interface with all functional business areas to ensure effective and accurate processing of master data and ensure strict governance of master data activities in accordance with documented procedures. The position reports to the MDM Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute the master data management processes with a focus in JDE master data domains including maintaining Items, BOMS, Costs, locations, address book and other related master data domains.
  • Work with the Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, Engineering, and Operations teams to coordinate master data requirements gathering and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and control within JDE.
  • Analyze source data from users to ensure that it is properly cleansed and standardized before entry into the system.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to optimize system capabilities and ensure master data flows efficiently between users, stakeholders, and business/system processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis to take prompt corrective action to resolve or escalate master data issues.
  • Educate business users on master data policies, processes, best practices, and tools to functional data owners.
  • Create and maintain detailed process and procedure documentation on all master data functions and activities.
  • Maintain an active understanding of the business’s product offerings.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 3+ years JD Edwards Enterprise One or another ERP platform experience is necessary.
    • Experience creating, configuring, and importing master data within JDE: Items, BOMS, Costs, locations, address book and other related master data domains.
  • 2+ years of experience in MDM.
    • Experience with managing business data assets to improve data quality, accessibility, and reusability.
    • Experience with establishing, monitoring, and maintaining data quality standards both with and without the use of automated toolsets.
  • Experience with addressing issues of master data definition, metadata acquisition and data migration including data profiling, validation, clean-up, and remediation.
  • Familiarity with MDM best practices
  • Experience creating detailed procedural documentation.
  • Experience documenting project requirements and milestones.

    • Focus: Orientation and understanding the company’s products/locations, and an overview of business processes, systems, and data.
    • Priorities: Learn AZEK Specific JD Edwards (JDE) system basics, understand key MDM data structures, and establish relationships with colleagues.
    • Metrics: Familiarity with JDE data structures, ability to navigate the system, and understanding of data management procedures.
  • 6 Months
    • Focus: Deeper engagement with data management, data governance, and procedures.
    • Priorities: Dive deeper into MDM request types/tasks, Item/BOM/etc setup, procedure documentation, and data reporting/validation.
    • Metrics: Successful completion of assigned data management tasks; active participation in data governance; and maintaining procedural documentation.
  • 1 year
    • Focus: Full integration into the team, execute daily assigned data management tasks, contributing to data accuracy and efficiency.
    • Priorities: Collaborate on data improvement projects, contribute to process enhancements and support business projects.
    • Metrics: Consistent data quality, efficient time management, data management, and positive impact on business processes.

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $75,000 to $85,000. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
