You will use your Systems Engineering Expertise and System Safety knowledge to
analyze hardware and software, establish and maintain system safety requirements in support of mission
success. As our SSE, your responsibilities will also include the following tasks:
Develop and/or update Preliminary Hazard List
(PHL), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Functional
Hazard Analyses (FHAs), System Hazard Analyses
(SHA), and Safety Assessment Reports (SAR)
Prepare presentations and participate in Design
Reviews, Test Readiness Reviews, Technical
Interchange Meetings, and various working groups
and safety review meetings
Develop and/or update System
Safety documents to support Customer, Range
Safety, and contractual requirements
Review and provide input to test procedures for
adherence to System Safety requirements
Coordinate with test range safety teams and writing
range safety reports to support testing
Assist in the development and maintenance of a
Hazard Tracking System (HTS) used to document
real and potential hazards, their assessments, and
their respective mitigation's.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in an engineering or related technical discipline
Knowledge of System Safety Standards
Demonstrated knowledge and application of System Safety design and operations safety principles to include experience with one or all of the following: hazard identification, analysis, risk mitigation, safety requirements management, and associated deliverable documentation.
Effective communication skills with the ability to
engage and interact in group meeting/working
environments with team members, development
organizations and customers.
Active Secret Clearance: US Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
Experience using MIL-STD-882E, DO-178C, SSMAN 91-710, or other relevant industry and/or range safety standards
Experience developing MSPSP, SAR, and/or other System Safety Assessment documentation.
Software system safety experience
Experience participating in DoD System Safety Working Groups
Familiarity with MDA Programs
Familiarity with DOORs
Familiarity with MBSE
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
