The Project Senior Engineer will be responsible for leading implementation of projects and initiatives from CCWD’s capital improvement program, which may include treated water distribution pipeline replacements; improvements to treated water facilities, untreated water facilities, and water treatment plants; and regulatory compliance.

The Project Senior Engineer will serve as supervisor to a project team, as well as lead large complex projects and initiatives independently.

The "Project Employee Position" is full-time and temporary with benefits, for work on the Canal Replacement Program. The position is anticipated to last for a term of 2 to 5 years and possibly longer.

Project employees are hired for specific projects of limited duration. Individuals selected for project positions are entitled to all terms and conditions of employment as specified in the IFPTE,

Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in engineering, environmental studies, or a related field. Experience

: Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in professional engineering work related to water systems and facilities, including one (1) year of lead or supervisory responsibility. Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid California driver’s license to be maintained throughout employment. Possession of a valid license as a Professional Engineer issued by the State of California to be maintained throughout employment. Employees also work in the field and are exposed to loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, road hazards, vibration, confining workspace, chemicals, mechanical and/or electrical hazards, hazardous physical substances and fumes, dust, and air contaminants.
