The position of Manager Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. A person in this position reports to and works closely with the CFO and other Leaders. The Manager FP&A ensures the integrity of the business unit financial reporting, planning and analysis.

This position is also responsible for partnering with management of a specific business, leading the team through the budgeting process, DCF analysis, and KPI reporting. In addition to managing FP&A, this position will also be an integral part of the team that closes the books and interacting with the external auditors.

Location: This position will work out of the Nampa, Idaho corporate office. This is not a remote position.

  1. Job Summary:


These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently:

  • Prepare, analyze, and report monthly KPI reports.
  • Partner with business unit management by providing financial expertise in the areas of strategy, working capital analysis, DCF calculations, postmortem project reviews, mergers and acquisition analysis/integration, and financial reporting.
  • Review month-end financial reports for accuracy and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary.
  • Prepare financial slide deck for board presentations.
  • Prepare detailed account analysis.
  • Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies regarding cost analyses and profitability.
  • Drive process improvement and efficiency efforts.
  • Work on special projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field required, CPA/CMA/MBA preferred.
  • Previous experience in financial planning and analysis preferred.
  • Previous experience in improving on or creating key performance indicators.
  • Previous success in working in team environments.
  • 5+ years' experience in similar position highly preferred.
  • Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis.
  • Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data.
  • Ability to turn financial and operational information into actionable direction and suggestions for improvement.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and collaborative skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong organizational and communicational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with significant growth in process.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel 5-10% for special projects and to support inventory and fixed asset audits.
