The Role

As a Cash Accountant at Palantir you'll work to drive improvements and quality initiatives across our growing Accounting & Finance organization, supporting senior accounting leadership with strategies that prioritize scalability and value creation.

In this role you'll hit the ground running, getting deep into work processed by the Treasury & AP teams and identifying areas for improvement. You will be responsible for helping the Corporate Accounting team close the books monthly, as well as building out related internal controls, automation and process enhancements.

Our ideal candidate is a problem solver who's not satisfied with the status quo, and who is energized by opportunities to improve the efficiency or accuracy of existing processes.

Core Responsibilities
•Assist with recording monthly bank activity.
•Reconcile cleared outstanding checks daily and work with our AP department to resolve discrepancies.
•Prepare monthly reconciliation for bank accounts and other assigned accounts, working with business partners to obtain support for any reconciling items.
•Prepare and analyze journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting records to verify accuracy and to determine if there are any discrepancies in financial data.
•Provide support to internal and external auditors during quarterly and year-end reviews relating to financial statement audits, including preparation of supporting documentation.
•Adhere to key controls as identified through SOX.
•Participate in internal process improvement initiatives to improve reporting, analytical tools, and technical aspects of accounting procedures and practices.

•Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; able to maintain accuracy in work products and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•NetSuite and GTreasury experiences are a plus.

What We Require
•2+ years accounting or finance experience. Experience at a public company a plus.
•Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Salary

The starting base salary for this position is estimated to be $38/hour to $45/hour with benefits, as provided by TCWGlobal. Further note that total compensation for this position will be determined by candidate's relevant qualifications, work experience, skills, and other factors.
