The Team
We are a newly created and expanding team here at Fidelity, servicing the suite of Alternative Investment products that have been created and launched by Fidelity. This new space offers Fidelity a new asset class previously unexplored by current day Fidelity funds (ETFs, Mutual Funds). We are looking for a Business Analyst who will oversee the day-to-day operations for a number of Alternative investment funds. In this role, you will be responsible for driving fund launches, establishing, and maintaining relationships with internal and external counterparts, working with associates to ensure procedures and processes are in place, as well as focusing on finding ways to gain efficiencies in existing processes.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelors or equivalent
- Alternatives experience strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in an Operations, Business Analysis, and/or Data Analyst role
- Experience with Alternative Investment fund events, such as Capital Calls, Tenders, Distributions
- Clear understanding of asset management middle office/back office functions
- Experience using SS&C applications, as well as interacting with Fintech companies, such as iCapital, CAIS, Subscribe
- Extended hours may be required during fund launches, as well as during peak cycles (month-end, year-end, tax season, etc)
- Ability to multitask with extreme attention to detail
- You work well on teams and in cross-collaborative environments internally and externally
- You adopt an Agile way of work through continuous improvement, learning and sharing with a focus on the associate and client experience
- Ability to maintain effective and mutually beneficial working relationships with internal and external counterparts
- Crafting/maintaining procedures for associates and participate in cross training to ensure team is aware and implements any new processes or changes to a process
- Demonstrating solid attention to detail, ability to evaluate problems and exhibit a methodical approach to solutions
- Embracing an open-minded outlook and adapting to change
- Responding to operational issues timely and effectively, while identifying ways to gain efficiencies in the process
- Refining, improving, and driving the service business plan strategy for long-term sustainability, based off data trends from past fund operational events.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
