Position Summary

Job Title: Compliance Manager, Testing & Oversight

Reports To: Vice President, Compliance

As a Compliance Manager, Testing & Oversight, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the organization's operations adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive compliance testing and oversight program to assess the effectiveness of the company's compliance controls and identify areas for improvement. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Compliance Testing and Monitoring:
  • Develop and implement a robust compliance testing program to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to evaluate compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Analyze and interpret complex regulatory requirements to ensure testing procedures align with relevant standards.
Oversight and Reporting:
  • Provide oversight of compliance testing activities across various business units.
  • Generate comprehensive and concise reports on testing results, highlighting areas of compliance strength and weakness.
  • Collaborate with senior management to communicate findings and recommend corrective actions.
Regulatory Knowledge:
  • Stay abreast of changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards that may impact the organization.
  • Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders, ensuring a proactive approach to compliance.
Risk Assessment:
  • Work with cross-functional teams to conduct risk assessments related to compliance matters.
  • Identify and prioritize areas of potential compliance risk, providing guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
Training and Awareness:
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness of compliance requirements across the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure employees receive appropriate compliance training.
Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with legal, audit, and other relevant departments to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Evaluate and enhance the compliance testing and oversight program based on industry best practices and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline testing procedures and increase efficiency.
Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum three years of experience in compliance, audit, or a related field, with a focus on testing and oversight.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, including but not limited to UDAAP, TILA, FCRA, CFPA, and BSA/AML
