Our affiliate, III Capital Management () manages ~$5 billion in hedge fund capital, trading on a 24/7 basis worldwide. We are a multi-strategy, multi-product manager with investments primarily in fixed income relative value, options, convertible bond arbitrage, long/short credit, long/short equity, structured credit and risk transfer strategies.


We are seeking a Quantitative Risk Analyst to join our team. The Quantitative Risk Analyst sits on the trading floor reporting to and working directly with Chief and Deputy Risk Officers and working closely with Portfolio Managers and traders. The Quantitative Risk Analyst will analyze a variety of strategies, including: Fixed Income Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, CLOs, Convertible Arbitrage, Multi-Asset Volatility and other alternative investments.


Must possess experience with risk models/analytics. The Quantitative Risk Analyst is expected to analyze daily risk including ensuring data integrity, improvement of the automation of reports, monitoring compliance with imposed investment requirements, expanding custom models, and over time can assist in portfolio construction, and advise on hedge strategy and portfolio rebalancing.


This is an on-site role based in Boca Raton, Florida.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage the production of periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly) risk summaries for both internal and external consumption across the full breath of the $5b assets that III manages.
  • Identify compliance issues, risk vulnerabilities, and methods to improve the presentation of information to the interested parties.
  • Improve the automation, speed of production, and flexibility of information produced.
  • Develop an understanding of the firm’s strategies across all asset classes to understand the exposures inherit in each trade structure.
  • Work with the firm’s Quantitative Department on valuation and risk models used.
  • Analyze the variety and concentration of trade types and exposures across individual funds to identify possible structural improvements for PMs.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline such as Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years quant risk experience in derivatives
  • Proficiency in Python/R/SQL
  • Prior experience enhancing risk factor models.
  • Fixed income/credit experience required.
  • Multi-strategy experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work within a team and communicate effectively.
