Job Title: Benefits SpecialistJob Description

As a Benefits Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing various aspects of employee benefits, including 401k enrollments, reports, and audits. You will be responsible for researching employee benefit plans and vendors to identify the best value and negotiating with brokers for optimal plans, options, and rates. You will serve as the primary contact for plan vendors, third-party administrators, and brokers. Compliance with government regulations is key in this role, and you will be tasked with ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees. Your duties will also include coordinating daily benefit processing, handling enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, 401k hardships, and compliance testing. You will also be responsible for handling benefits questions, LOA, COBRA, and leave policies, as well as generating weekly 401k enrollment reports for new hires.

Hard Skills

Work Environment

Our work schedule runs from Monday to Friday with an average of 5 hours of overtime per week. The regular office hours are 8am to 5pm, including a 1-hour lunch break. The work environment is professional, requiring business casual attire. The position is based at our Corporate office in the City of Commerce, CA. We are a family-owned company with 14 locations across the US.
