SUMMARY

This position is a key contributor to the accounting procedures and process for the company. This position will also work with the broader Finance team to prepare and implement policies and procedures relating to finance and accounting while ensuring accounting principles and practices are followed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Job cost analysis
  • Accounts receivable billing
  • Review and approval of accounts payable
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare financial analyses and reports
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns
  • Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
  • Maintain prompt and reliable attendance
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • Two or more years of accounting/finance experience
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, regulations and laws
  • Experience working with consolidated entities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employee
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills to include proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting software
  • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
