ASN Constructors is a joint venture of three international contractors (Acciona, Shikun & Binui and North American Construction Group) who will work with the Metro Flood Diversion Authority and other area stakeholders to build a historic project that will protect the citizens of the Fargo-Moorhead area from flood waters from the Red River. The AP Accountant's primary responsibilities will focus on accounts payable-managing and processing invoices,. The Accountant will take part in the payments process and perform different accounting tasks as required. This individual will be highly organized with a demonstrated attention to detail and possess experience with accounting and banking systems. Experience interacting with vendors and company staff in other departments and resenting the Finance Department.


Responsibilities:

  • New vendor registration into the accounting system, including collecting and documenting banking information, W9.
  • Entry of all invoices / payment requests into automated workflow process.
  • Verifying vendor accounts, paying vendors, and resolving purchase orders, invoices, or payment discrepancies.
  • Reconciling account transactions with the general ledger.
  • Review, record & periodically audit employee expense reports.
  • Assist with preparing weekly aging reports.
  • Assist with weekly payment processing via the accounting and banking platforms.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Assist with managing credit card fleet, including reviewing and reconciling the employee credit card.
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
  • Collect information needed to prepare sales and use tax filings.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:


? Experience in accounts payable; construction companies experience a plus.

? Strong attention to detail with a passion for accurate work; able to professionally hold others accountable to the same level of accuracy; understands deadlines and meets them.

? Familiar with bank payment platforms. HSBC is a plus.

? Hands-on experience with SAP is a plus.

? Ability to work well with other team members in multiple departments.

? Confidence and ability to work under pressure.

? Ability to prioritize work and multi-task.

? Good written and verbal communication skills.

? Good Excel skill

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is an office position which will include work at a desk and use of email, Microsoft Office, and various other software as required.
