Job Description:The Senior Manager of Purpose and Brand Communications drives strategic direction of earned- and influence-led brand initiatives in collaboration with brand teams, external stakeholders, and agency partners. This role works across our portfolio of brands, responsible for partnering with global counterparts and the marketing organization to develop and lead earned and influence initiatives for some of Mars' largest brands, including PEDIGREE and CESAR, with a specific focus on brand purpose programming. A key focus is driving integration with the Digital Center of Excellence to develop full-PESO (paid, earned, shared, owned) strategies across the consumer experience with our brands.What are we looking for?Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or associated profession is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.10+ years relevant professional experience in brand communications with proven success developing and leading earned and influence-centered communications.Understanding of and experience in developing purpose-led strategies and programs.Proven success in leading communications across multiple brands and businesses is preferred.Experience with strategic agency management, including scoping, contracting, and success measurement. Agency experience is a plus.Line management experience, including team growth and development planning.Digital-first mindset and understanding of the broad consumer media landscape - demonstrated experience in strategy around digital creators and influencers is preferred.Ability to travel.What will be your key responsibilities?Drive integration between the Mars Corporate Affairs and Marketing teams regionally and in collaboration with the global team.Responsible for the strategic direction, development and management of Brand PR, sponsorships, and other brand communications programs to achieve our growth ambition.Ensure brand programs are proof points for broader corporate purpose, and that they build brand equity and reputation.Identify the right cultural conversations, moments, and voices to drive relevancy and awareness of our brands among key audiences, to position our brands as solutions to meet the needs of today's pet parents.Spearhead key agency management, including selection, streamlining ways of working, accountability, and seeing through measures of success.Understand the evolving consumer media landscape and consumer behaviors to identify opportunities for platform innovation and partnerships and to identify best practices, tools and resources.Guide work with external collaborators, content creators, and talent to mitigate risk, expand our brand message and increase our reach.
